This presentation will provide a unique look at the uninsured crisis in America by presenting an overview of the problem, the best practices on how to serve the uninsured patient in need of care today, and then provide various opportunities for nurse practitioners to provide badly needed medical care to the uninsured in their communities.

FACULTY
This course is taught by Lee D. Jacobs, MD. Dr. Jacobs is the Medical Director of Bethesda Community Clinic, a non-profit safety-net clinic for the uninsured. In 2015 Dr. Jacobs founded Bethesda Referral & Teaching Hospital, a non-profit Christian organization founded to construct a child and maternal hospital in Haiti. He is the co-author of Going Prepared, a book on preparing individuals, churches and organizations for overseas mission experiences. Dr. Lee Jacobs, MD, has disclosed no relevant financial relationships.

MP3 players are nonrefundable. Defective MP3 players will be replaced up to 6 months from the original shipping date. Replacement MP3 Players will not be shipped until the defective player is received and reviewed by APEA.

A refund less shipping cost will be issued for physical products returned to APEA in brand new condition within 30 days from the shipping date. If the product was shrink wrapped, the original shrink wrap must be intact to be eligible for refund. APEA does not pay return shipping charges.
