This is a personal choice. Most students take the review course about 8 weeks before or after graduation. Taking the course close to the exam date allows them to have recently completed a comprehensive NP board review of all the material. Students have shared that the information is fresh in their brain, and the review course gave them momentum going into the AANP or ANCC exam.

Others prefer to take the review course within 4–12 months prior to graduation. These students have shared with us that taking the review course at this time helped them focus on what was important while they were still in school. They also learn clinical pearls during the review course that help them as they complete their clinicals.

The APEA live review courses and live NP webinar options offer the same course content through different formats to fit your lifestyle. Some prefer the onsite learning experience for the destination opportunity and maximum focus and retention, while others do not have the option to travel and prefer to learn within the comfort of their home.

The APEA live review course costs $590. Early birds that register 6 weeks in advance or more are offered a savings of $71 for a total of $519. Since 1997, students who have taken APEA's Live Review Course have received a passing score of 99% of the time on their first attempt. In the rare case you are not successful on the FNP or AGPCNP exam from AANP or ANCC, you can take an APEA review course again free of charge for up to 1 year from the original course date.
